The Princeton Cornerstone Community Kitchen (PCCK) offers a free and nutritious meal every week, even on holidays. Volunteers from the community serve the meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
In partnership with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) and Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC), Cornerstone now serves more than 100 people each week. Some come for the food, some for the fellowship and friendly atmosphere. All are welcome, no questions asked. In addition, we offer a clothing store, health screening, English Second Language (ESL) courses, and other services for our guests
After almost three months since Cornerstone closed its doors as a result of the COVID-19 virus, we made a limited/partial reopening on May 27th! Since then we have offered meals, staples, produce and milk to those who came to our side door on Wednesdays. We began a home delivery service to over twenty in need Seniors, delivering similar items each week.
This last Wednesday, we sponsored a transfer of over 35 grocery bags, filed with staples, from the Jewish Family & Children’s Services of GMC... these to needy families who had been notified to come to our site. This will continue on a monthly basis on the second Wednesday of each month.
Our Clothing Store has reopened, also in a limited fashion. Seasonal clothing items are placed on outside tables, and guest, wearing masks and using hand sanitizer, are again offered a free shopping experience.
All other offerings…the Hair Salon, Nurse presence, and access to the church remain closed. Our limited/partial offerings will continue with changes as conditions dictate.
